Manufacturing
The wood is gently dried for several years, which prevents cracks. Once the wood has been delivered to our workshop in its raw form, we first check its quality. Once we are satisfied with the wood, it is sawn into smaller pieces and clamped in our woodturning machine. In principle, turning works like planing. The only difference is that the entire block of wood is turned and shaped into the form of the doorknob using a special turning knife/chisel. After we have produced the door knob in its raw form, it is carefully sanded down. Finally, the door knob is coated in linseed oil. This craftsmanship makes the wooden handle look and feel so high quality.
