Particularities:
Our blanks are from local or German (fruit) trees.
The wood of the wooden blanks has been gently dried for at least 6 years, individually selected, tested and cut by us.
Like most of our raw materials, we use them ourselves in production. This ensures a consistently high quality for you as well.
PLEASE NOTE:
Splint is not always bad. For example, the interaction of the apple wood of core and sapwood can look really great! The sapwood is lighter and the core dark. Splint is not necessarily softer.

Tips:
If you have little experience in processing wooden blanks, then it’s better to order slightly longer and thicker blanks. This gives you more leeway in case of mistakes. The wooden blanks can be easily sanded, rasped, turned and carved into shape. When sanding, it is recommended to switch from coarse sandpaper to finer and finer sandpaper.
