This beautiful birch bark bread basket is made in the same way as it was centuries ago. It captivates with its simplicity and its naturally grown art, just as nature created the bark. Our birch bark bread boxes are woven and assembled by hand using birch bark ribbons or raffia and special insertion techniques.
It is also double-walled and therefore incredibly stable. The surface is natural and untreated. This allows the bread basket to “breathe” optimally.

And why a birch bark bread box of all things?
Birch bark is antiseptic and has an antiseptic effect. Regulates moisture and thus preserves very well.
Bread bins made of birch bark are also very easy to clean. If dirty, simply wipe through with a damp cloth. For heavier soiling, you can also rinse with vinegar. No detergents and dishwashers please! This makes the birch bark (like all wood) brittle.
