Our store offers different types of rawhide:
Hog: porous; It is easy to achieve the glass effect when treated with oil.
Horse: thick, gives warm dim light. Usually a little thicker.
Cow: very durable, thick, and bright. Rough structure.
Deer: spotted, rather thin. It is easy to achieve the glass effect when treated with oil.
Goat: light, very thin. It is easy to achieve the glass effect when treated with oil. Available in light and dark tones.
The rawhide for crafting lamps is crafted in Germany by a family-owned company that has been preserving and passing on the traditions of leatherworking for more than 200 years.
Depending on the desired size, the price is calculated based on the area per square meter.
